tv not delivered from empire direct

i purchased a tv online and received an email saying it would be delivered yesterday - it wasnt....after a lengthy hold i finally got through and was told there mustve been a mix up and someone would phone me this morning....i had to take a full day out to wait for this delivery and am very very annoyed....

any advice on what to say when they do finally phone?

to recap;- they never phoned so i spent 40mins getting through to be told the driver had run out of time and took the tv back - they would now deliver monday - so, another day waiting....

feel like cancelling the order but wont get a better deal than this....

compain and say that youve taken 2 days off work for delivery which they never deleiverd so they broke the agreement and that you will be seeking compensation.

if not cancel and take your business elsewahere and then write a bad review everywhere that you can on the internet

most places do price matches now adays so look around especially at this time of year

what tv was it ?

when i got my tv delivered via empire i had to help the guy carry it up 3 floors as he arrived on his own(32" CRT)
emailed empire and got the courier cost refunded no worries.

thanks for your replies....i was considering cancelling but as the payment as gone out and the refund would take up to 12days i am going to give them a second chance monday but, i definitely will be complaining after that - woe betide them if there is a problem monday...

comet did say they would price match but, i totally forgot and ordered the empire direct one without thinking - but, then again - comet are totally hopeless too sometimes so i more than likely wouldve had same problem....

just to recap - tv came on the monday and i was given a discount on my future purchase which i snapped up straightaway and saved £50 on speaker systems for it.....
