Tesco - Upper Boat, Pontypridd
I don't think this strictly comes under the heading of 5 star service as it wasn't to me but I believe it deserves at least a mention in despatches. Was at Tesco earlier this afternoon when a young check out girl (didn't look more than about 19 or 20) refused to serve three youths. The sum total of their purchases was…

Innkeepers lodge Durham North
Just spent 3 days at the innkeepers lodge durham north, thought the inn and the staff were fantastic, well worth the money. The service was second to none, and for the money you would be hard pushed to find better. We will be using them again.

Birds Eye
It's not often that I am the recipient of 5* service so I couldn't let this gem go unannounced! I contacted Birds Eye with a general comment (not a complaint!) about their frozen Roast Beef Dinners (which BTW are MUCH better than they sound) which to a shift worker like me are a great bit of scoff. Got this reply back…

Anyone got an alternative number for Currys Home Delivery?
... anything other than 02476 334162? Placed an order online for a washing machine (for my parents) at the beginning of October, due to Lloyds TSB refusing the c/card transaction, the order wasn't placed (admittedly not Currys' fault). Rang them as hadn't had any order emails - then they told us about the refusal of…

MBNA and silent phone calls
For the past couple of weeks I have been getting silent phone calls - You know what its like, you go from one end of the house to the other trying to find the cordless phone which is ringing only to find no one there when you answer. If you do 1471 to find out who called you get " We do not have the caller's number ". Well…

How can 12.99 or 2 £26 be a good offer?
Went into WH Smith today to buy a Dvd and I picked up a family guy one which was £12.99 or 2 for £26!! When at the till I asked if the offer was correct, the assistant checked said it was correct and that I should buy it with a more expensive dvd for the multibuy. Then was told rather tersely when asking well what if both…

Daily Mail
A while since I ordered a free Sudoku CDROM from the Daily Mail, all I had to do was send an SAE, which I did. Today I received back a Beatles Interviews CD. They put a note in saying that they had no more of the free gift I requested and hoped that I would accept a Beatles CD instead. I am not a Beatles fan and never will…

Test and Vote?????
Hello, is anyone else part of this survey panel? I don't seem to be getting anywhere with it. I filled in my profile fully, but it asks the most obscure questions in the survays of which I can't take part and I'm assuming the majority of people can't either! Asking if iv'e been interviewed for a movie lately??????…

Yes, it's supposed to be quick and simple!??? I recently used Grattan catalouges on line facilities to order a new hoover, first of all I didn't know wether or not the order had gone through or not because the pages are so badly designed then when I got a knock on the door and a hoover handed to me I got my answer, the…

Royal mail.No full refund for no delivery
Sent a package to the USA.The value of the goods were £3.20.Add to that the postage of £2.97.They have paid the £3.20.That's all.Their customer service was happy in saying I am harping on about it but there is nothing they can do.Insurance companies don't do refunds so I guess the rest must be an admin charge for a service…

Estate Agent goes bust
I have learnt that my estate agent, Jump Property Group, has gone bust. The company had about 30 branches in Yorkshire but was placed in administration in August and the assets transferred to a new "Phoenix" company with a similar name and run by the same person. Can someone tell me what my contractual obligation is in…

Rosemarys Health Foods (vitamins, supplements, etc)
Very impressed with this shop - they confirmed dispatch of my order within an hour of ordering, free delivery and the price was the lowest I could find (20% off when you order 2 of any item). Package arrived day after ordering. I have no connection with them at all - just found them via Google. (Although apparently they…

The Three Tuns pub, Bishops Castle
I've just got back from a short break in Bishops Castle (Shropshire) with a group of friends. On Saturday night, we decided to eat at the Three Tuns pub because all the other pubs were fully booked. We went in and asked to reserve a table, but unfortunately the kitchen was closed that night due to staff illness. The…

Asda Customer Service Desk
As I was looking for some local Yorkshire strawberries in Asda, I found some with a 'best before' label that was one day out of date. I took them to the customer service desk. The assistant took them off me and thanked me. Then she gave me a smiley badge with 50p off a pack of (in date) strawberries.

Sainsbury's kitchen appliances
hi everyone, am fuming!! Just wanted your advice on this letter I am about to send off: who should I address it to? I am writing out of sheer frustration at the lack of communication and the incompetence that I have received from your staff. I ordered a Hoover frost free freezer on 04/10/05 and was informed by your website…

Good for you ASDA
IMO ,I think trick or treating is an American tradition we can do without. It's not part of our tradition, there is need for it, there is nothing good about it. I was very pleased to read this about ASDA on the BBC website. Supermarket giant Asda has banned teenagers from buying eggs, traditionally used as "trick or treat"…
