Hello ! I posted this elsewhere on this site but I dont think anyone has noticed it and they may need to know about this so appologies if you have read it before...
I signed up with MirrorBingo.com on 20th October and was able to use a coupon giving me £5 to play.
I was lucky and won twice ! I also funded my account using my mastercard with £20, played some more and then proceeded to cashin £50 !! I was over the moon to have won and eagerly awaited some sort of response from them regarding the payout.....
Here is what I received....
We are contacting you onbehalf of our accounting department,
With regards to your winnings which you are awaiting.
Please be advised that our accounting department have informed
us, that they are currently unable to issue checks in GBP's, and
will also not be able to send checks in EUROS.
If you have purchased via MasterCard and are therefore expecting
your cash-ins to be refunded to this card, unfortunately Mastercard
has implemented an International Policy whereby they no longer allow
any refunds to their cards.
This is not something implemented by us, but is an International Policy
brought on by Mastercard some time back.
Visa cards however do still accommodate refunds to their cards.
We therefore kindly request that you supply us with another method of
payment so that we may be able to send you your winnings.
Alternative payment methods include Neteller, Visa credit card, Solo or
switch cards, Prepaid ATM or wire transfer.
If you could please register one of the above as an alternative payment
option in your account please inform us of this, and we will in turn notify
our accounting department to process your payment.
You can also register your NETeller details if you have an account registered
with NETeller, and we will be able to refund to your NETeller account since
we now do make use of NETeller too!
Should you wish to receive your funds via wire transfer, please supply us with
the following details:
- BANK NAME
- BANK'S FULL ADDRESS
(this must be in the format: Street, City, Province, Country, Zip/Postal Code)
- BANK'S BRANCH CODE
- BANK'S TELEPHONE NUMBER
- ACCOUNT NUMBER
- ACCOUNT NAME
- ROUTING CODE or SWIFT CODE
- YOUR BANK'S CORRESPONDING BANK IN THE USA (FOR NON-USA PLAYERS ONLY)
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused with regards to this matter,
and thank you again for your patience and understanding.
If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,
Helmut
First of all.....I think this is APPALLING !! I go to a UK newspaper site and play Bingo with money GBP and they can not pay out in GBP ?
Secondly......I have checked the whole site and found no comments about using Mastercard
Thirdly.....I have replied and asked if I can add my mothers Visa Card so I can receive payout and I received the same reply !!!
And the icing on the cake ?
I phoned them on their 0800 support line and guess what.....
Indian call centre !!!
I am not a racist person but..... come on , this is stupid !!!
P.s. I didnt even speak to the call centre, they answered the phone and what they said didnt make sense, i asked them to repeat but still couldnt understand them.
Has anyone else had this problem ?? I am at a loss as to what to do, I am unsure about sending them my Bank Details..
HELP !!!

No answer to your question, but noticed that your email from them spelt cheque not as we do in the UK but as check, which the Americans do. I'm not sure if this is significant or not, but maybe someone else can comment on it.The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Yes, they are in America, and the call centre is in India !!
I have now sent them the bank details they required after having spent quite some time on the phone to my bank.
I will let u know if i get paid or not, either way I certainly wont be using Mirror Bingo again. :mad:If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !! :rolleyes:0 -
The Mirror Bingo is brought to you by GlobalCom, a premier international eGaming service provider. We are fully licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
The Commission is empowered to regulate and control gaming and gaming related activities conducted within and from the Mohawk Territory of Kahnawake in accordance with the highest principles of honesty and integrity.
There's obviously a reason behind this (tax?) but it seems mighty bizarre for the Daily Mirror not to pay out in GBP.0 -
well... I honestly hope they pay out as promised !! Other Uk players should be warned tho against using their mastercard.
I spoke to Barclays Mastercard earlier on and they told me they have no restrictions on refunding with international funds and that they can not understand why this is a problem for Mirror Bingo.
I think in future I may stick to Mecca (i hope they are UK based)If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !! :rolleyes:0 -

If they knew this why are they still taking bets on Mastercard or
even offer that service0 -

No, they are based in Saudi Arabia.0 -
Yes Mr Skint ! My point exactly ! Its almost like incorrect advertising !
Why is it we have to agree to their terms and conditions on these things but they cant agree to any of ours ? Or even stick to what they are telling us. If by law this is acceptable we are all going to be in a lot of trouble.
Mecca in Saudi Arabia ??? Good Greif !!
oh wait..... you mean Mecca as in the place of worship ? hmmm lol rofl :rotfl:If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !! :rolleyes:0 -
I don't fully understand what's happening here but I'll just interject one thing: If you're asking for your gambling winnings to be paid to your Mastercard account then that is not really a refund, is it? I don't know if Mastercard's policy is as these people claim, but if it were it would not be all that surprising, considering the extent of international money laundering these days.Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here!0

It's also against VISA's rules for merchants to use it to pay out money in the way they are suggesting. All they can do is refund the amount you originally paid by VISA. E.g. bet (or bingo - whatever) £20 and win £50 - they can (and in fact, MUST according to VISA rules) refund £20 by VISA, but the remaining £30 has to be paid over by cheque or BACS.0

Yep, its even in thier own FAQ section/T&C's that they can only refund the amount deposited and the rest will be paid via Cheque. Sounds fishy. Hope its not a credit card pharming scam.0
