MarkyMarkD wrote:It's also against VISA's rules for merchants to use it to pay out money in the way they are suggesting. All they can do is refund the amount you originally paid by VISA. E.g. bet (or bingo - whatever) £20 and win £50 - they can (and in fact, MUST according to VISA rules) refund £20 by VISA, but the remaining £30 has to be paid over by cheque or BACS.
But the trouble is.......
The say in the email they sent that they are not able to issue cheques in GBP or Euro !!!
So where does that leave the winner ??If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !! :rolleyes:0 -

Are you certain this is actually a genuine email from the company and not just an attempt to obtain your card/bank details?0

Anyhow hope this makes some of you feel better ( i do !)
I went along and registered my visa card (didnt deposit any money) and then sent a mail asking for my winnings. Turned up in my current account 2 days ago... £57 quid richer for a £5 free stake.
BTW I genereated a cahoot webcard with a £1 transaction limit, and registered this on the site, so they did'nt even have my real card details (Just in case it was a scam).
Be patient you will get your money ppl!0 -

What is a webcard ? Sounds handy !!If you want to get ahead in the Rat Race then you will need some faster Rats !! :rolleyes:0 -
Its a special (free) program for Cahoot current account or credit card customers. Basically you download a small program and login as you would to thier website. It then asks you how much of a transaction limit you would like to generate a webcard for, and magiaclly a Whole new credit card is genereated that can only be used once, and for a maxium of the amount specified.
Hence your real card details, card no, CCV, expiry are never revealed. Its also great for sites that give a 'free trial' - just enter your cahoot webcard details with a £1 limit and when the free offer expires they cannot take the funds, and you dont have to worry about forgetting to cancel or being ripped off!
See https://www.webcard.cahoot.com for details0 -

Fair poiint, but in my experience they never bother, usually send a mail saying your account has expired.
Im sure if you tried to ripp a site off, by buying stuff or signing a contract they wouldnt be too happy about it!
Thanks for the tip all the same!0
