Tesco - Upper Boat, Pontypridd

I don't think this strictly comes under the heading of 5 star service as it wasn't to me but I believe it deserves at least a mention in despatches.

Was at Tesco earlier this afternoon when a young check out girl (didn't look more than about 19 or 20) refused to serve three youths. The sum total of their purchases was three boxes each containing 15 Tesco value eggs. As it's Halloween, I doubt they were cookery students and she's probably saved a few local residents from having mess to clear up tonight or tomorrow.

I know it's fashionable to slag Tesco off but well done to them on this policy.

Do you mean 15 eggs or the full box of 180 eggs? (sorry I work with eggs )

I know what is means having to clear up "stuck" on egg as its not nice. So same here - well done big T

Since saturday the tills at the tesco where I work have had messages saying that children under 16 weren't to be served eggs or flour

Agreed - a good policy and very good for the check-out girl for applying it
... could have been quite intimidating there being a group of them...

(that's my local store)
