Puppy biting kitten
Hey all. :) Well Logan is big and boisterous like all puppies. Behaviour is pretty good other than his obsession with Frankie the cat. He wants to chase him ALL the time, he is of course told not to but does he listen... no. Today he bit him :( Not in a malicious way, a kind of puppy nip but it's put the cat back to square…

My cat is gagging for no apparent reason
Hello everyone My beloved Lily is gagging but not being sick. I don't think there's any retching. Her head bobs, like something is stuck in her throat and sometimes she looks as though her mouth is watering and she licks her lips. I took her to the vet last night and he's given me som parrafin (sp). He checked her stomach,…

Knit dogs' coats for Dogs Trust
Hope it's OK to put this here (and I hope it hasn't been mentioned already). I saw this project advertised in Dogs Trust's magazine Wag, and thought some other dog lovers might enjoy it - the pattern may come in handy for people's own pets too:…

Is it just me, or??
Would you be a bit miffed if you found a very young cat in a large busy car park and established that it had been there all day, (member of staff ie: trolley man at end of 8 hour shift) dodging cars, and upon taking it to a vet simply to ask them to scan it for a chip you are advised that you should take it back to the car…

Silly question about cleaning litter trays
Hi, Me and OH have taken on two 12 year old female cats. We have had them about 2 months now and they are using litter trays as they have not attempted to go outside. Obviously I knew they would use trays for a while but to be honest was rather hoping it would not be for too long. Anyway I have been cleaning them out and…

Puppies found in two cars in Dublin
I have just read that 50 puppies have been found in two cars in Dublin and that it is believed that they have been taken to Dublin from the UK to be sold on. Lets hope that some of the people who have lost their pets might be reunited with them.

New Family Member
She's 18 months old, just finishing raising 2 kittens. She's just woken up after being spayed in the picture, her eyes are a bright green. I had my home check this afternoon. We already have a cat and a dog but the cat is missing feline companionship as the cat she'd lived with since being a kitten was PTS with kidney…

Potentially kitten diabetes?
I posted on here a month or so ago, after rehoming a kitten who has very small and potentially neglected. She had her first jabs (and had put on 300g!, making her 900g) and when I took her back yesterday for the second jabs they weighed her and she's put on no weight, which is concerning as she's potentially around 13 - 18…

Three cats
We have an old female cat (15 years) who has enjoyed living with us on her own. My daughter moved out and has now come home with 2 12 month old kittens (one male and one female) both neutered. Amber (old cat) can cope with the male but absolutely hates the female. Anyone got any ideas the female is very small for her age…

My cat is 8 years old, healthy etc, but for the last couple of days has been weeing more (not excessively but maybe 4 times a day) They are big wees, not dribbles, no sign of blood in it, no signs of discomfort when going etc. She is her normal self in every other way - good appetite still…

Do cats forgive?!
I'm really worried...me and my cat were playing this morning as usual, chasing each other around and we kind of colided and she got scared as if i had hit her adnr an out of the house. I coaxed her back in with treats and we had a cuddle but then she went out again and I'm worried about her disappearing today whilst I'm at…

Bach Rescue Remedy for Pets
I know border collies are particularly noise sensitive but mine is becoming increasingly nervous of the slightest noise when out on walks. Car doors slamming, anything that sounds like a gunshot, bagpipes (!?)…the list goes on, has him running for home ears flat and tail between his legs. He really needs a good run every…

Small pleasures in life...
Like laying there, listening to the noisy slurping noises as the idiot cat painstakingly rearranges all his fluff, waiting until he has finished grooming and is half asleep, then - Deliberately fluffing up every bit that he has done so he looks like he's had an electric shock or met the hound of the Baskervilles outside…
