Please don't get me started on this;
A few weeks ago I got blocked from a facebook site for pointing out to someone the stupidity of giving a litter of 7 kittens to the same man.
Then tonight, there's another person giving away a dog free on a different site. I did ask if she would consider giving the dog to a rescue but she told me she didn't want the dog going to one. I thought that perhaps she'd prefer it if it went to be used as bait for fighting dogs instead.
It really, really irritates me (and that's putting it mildly)0 -
I'd completely agree if it weren't for the old 'pet allergies are just an excuse' chestnut rearing its ugly head.0

I think you should add:
"Giving away a teenager. I didn't realise he'd get this big when I had him"
Just for us giant breed owners. And yup, I've seen that line given on a pre-loved advert for a Great Dane. A Dane. How thick do you have to be to buy a bloody Dane puppy and not know it's going to grow up big???“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Doesn't that just make you want to weep?
Did anyone see Paul o Grady on Monday at Battersea.i never used to think a lot of thast man but i do now.What was so sad was that poor dog at 15 years old,the owner had a new baby and couldn't cope.For god's sake! what harm was a small,15 year old dog going to do,and how much time would it have taken up.To be shoved in a kennel after having a home for all that time. :mad:
Thankfully it found a home with a nice couple but what a cruel thing to do to an old dog.When i think of what my last 2 dogs were like at 15.Nothing would have parted them from me,in the end only a one way trip to the vets had to.0
