Ideas for WFH inexpensive but healthy snacks, please!
I've just gone bust again on the Grocery Challenge thread, mainly because I've discovered my Other Half, bless his cotton socks, has been scoffing handfuls of hazelnuts & almonds at every half-hour coffee break whilst working from home, because we don't tend to keep biscuits in the house, unlike his office; two…

Storing food in case of shortage
Hi Reading in the news that a food shortage may be imminent I would like to know any tips for long-term storing of fruit and veg. I've started stocking up on tins and long-life milk etc but am concerned of the perishables. Are those part-baked breads in plastic packets good to keep for a few weeks? Many thanks

motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us. What is FLYLADY? Well, it's our version of the
US flylady idea - but we work on the principle that housework is not fun, it's
boring, can be time-consuming, is often thankless…

Taking curtains up.
I’ve 2 pairs of curtains, both been up a year or so, that I’ve now decided need lifting off the floor as although they look nice they act as a bit of a muck collector. Both are lined, but the lining is only sewn to the curtain fabric at the top and sides, the bottom is open. I know it’s said curtains are best taken up from…

Prepping/stacking / Longest lasting tinned meat/foods?
I began prepping because this year made me think about food security, and hobby. I've started stacking tinned goods with what seem to be the longest lasting meats. I've noticed Princes Hot Dogs and Tulip bacon grill get 5 years. Most the Tuna's and corned beef get 4 years. What else gets 4 - 5+ years? Doesn't have to be…

Beetroot
I've been given raw beetroots. What do I do with them? I've seen recipes on the net for chocolate beetroot cake, beetroot soup and beetroot curry. All these are a far cry from the sliced beetreet in vinegar of my childhood, and I'm not sure where to start.

Fun and cheap advent calendar
This is a cheap alternative to all those expensive chocolate filled advent calendars. Great for crafters and far more fun for little children, as they make Santa's beard grow every day. Perhaps a sweet or other treat could be given for every cotton wool ball that's stuck onto Santa's face. Have fun HO HO HO!
