Good morning folks. My shopping trip yesterday morning was rubbish, I forgot to buy four things and over-bought cakes. I'll probably go out again today though I'm not keen on doing more shopping. The joy of yesterday was watching Bill Bailey do a street dance on SCD. What a delight he was. There are a few dances I watch now then for cheering up purposes. so that will be added to my list. For now, I wish everyone a happy Sunday.12

Morning
I think the sun forgot to rise here yesterday, it was very dark and gloomy all day and I had to keep the lights on. Then at teatime, the sky turned a sort of purpley orange colour, it stayed that way for quite a while and I stood at the window and stared at it – I think I was waiting for something to happen but nothing did, lol.
Awake at 4am again. I've folded the clean washing, washed another load and hung it to dry. Cleaned the hob and worktops and swished the sink. I was late letting the chickens out – I was about to walk out the door when the wind and rain had a mad ten minutes. I waited for it to calm down a bit before going out. It's still raining and windy but it's a more normal level now, lol. I'll have a shower in a mo and see if I get Scampi to go for a walk, doubtful but I'll try.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, just eat cakes - it's Sunday!
Wet and miserable again here but plenty to do inside that I didn't do yesterday! I'm going for a posh meal out later which should be good, it's for a friend's 60th and has been cancelled 4 times, her birthday was in February!
Nothing else of note going on, happy Sunday all. Take care. XX11 -

Morning everyone
Gers - thanks for starting us off, I agree with camelot - just it eat cake! x
Wet underfoot and overcast - was very blustery earlier, but that seems to have died down a bit now.
DH watching catchup tv, I'm showered, dressed and now enjoying first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS1 still in his pit, but he'll be surfacing soon to watch the GP - he and DH will watch that - so they'll be out of my way for a while. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was an indian (SM takeaway) very nice it was too.
Lunch today will be roast chicken, stuffing, roasties, mash, carrots, swede, broc, peas, yorkshires and gravy.
Not sure what we'll be doing today - have lost my get up and go - it's got up and gone!
Keep safe and well x

morning all,
I think today should be ringfenced for self-indulgence. If we have no one who's going to spoil us, let's do it for ourselves.
My day is going to be making myself a delicious lunch (chicken wrapped in bacon, roast potatoes and whatever other veg I fancy) and reading and knitting.
It has been blowing a gale and tipping it down all night but it looks as if the sun is struggling to come out now. Well it's a wasted effort on its part. I have my day planned.
I recorded Strictly last night so have Bill Bailey's dance to look forward to. He has been the delightful surprise of the series so far. I had expected him to be a bit stiff and ploddy, but nothing could be further than that.
Enjoy your day everyone.
THOUGHT FOR SUNDAY

Morning folks and thanks for the start GERS. It's miserable here too. A sudden downpour appeared without warning but then left for pastures new, leaving it just miserable again. That's been the story of the month so far.
I don't know what came over me earlier as I decided to clean the oven. This then spurred me on to clean the fridge out. Such unaccustomed activity is out of character so early in the day!!! It's now feet up with a liquorice tea recovering! I think I might be tempted into watching Strictly again after lunch. There are some real surprises this time. I too never expected Bill to be so good! But I am just loving the Jamie and Karen partnership and he has been getting my 3 free votes since the start. I just love his enthusiasm.
Another chicken fillet out defrosting for lunch. Still undecided what it will be transformed into! Last night's chicken pizzaiola was so good I may just do the same again!
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care and stay safe and sane all my fellow lockdowners x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10 -
Morning all
Back on the laptop as OH has fixed the cable, I have never known him not be able to fix anything that goes wrong in the house, perhaps I should re-name him Mr Fix its apprentice
Raining here today and set in for the day I think, yesterday it rained all day apart from about an hour ish that dd and I took the dogs out, we had one shower while out and then the heavens opened once we got back, I think OH can take them today and I shall potter at home.
OH has gone to a local meat van, a butcher has set up for every sunday morning, we had ordered from morrisons but the pork joint was out of stock, so im hoping he will get a bit of pork from the van, we will have roasties, veg, stuffing and I might do some yorkshires too
Towel wash on the go it can go on the airer and then finish in the td tomorrow for 10 mins, downstairs needs a sweep through and that will do for the day.
Have good days all xx

Hello all, the sun was shining earlier so I put a load in the wm but before I could step foot out of the door the heaven's opened. Typical, indoor drying it is then.I got some pressies for the DGS ordered last night, although one was a pre-order and one a download. So now today I need to finish off DGD's, that's almost all of the DGC finished. Yay!! I don't know why but I seem to be finding any online shopping stressful this year, gives me palpitations, even the food shopping. This morning I need to clean down the kitchen worktops, wipe over the cooker top and wash the grill. I also need to wash out the halogen oven as it smells of the bacon that was cooked earlier, not guilty of that. This afternoon I will hit the online shop with the aid of Mr Fix It and a valium
( other anxiety drugs are available)
Tea tonight will be a chicken tikka slice and wedgie potatoes as someone forgot to take any meat out again, it's par for the course lately as I've already put the softener in the wrong machine drawer. Doh !! Another coffee and I'll start on the kitchen.Gers one must never complain about extra cakes, especially on a day with a "y" in itRedRuby don't think your DH would know what hit him if he became Mr Fix It's apprentice as there is a lot of gofer-ing to do, take that from one with experience, but you could send him along just to get him out from under your feet, there's always tea/coffee and cake available.Take care all, stay safe and keep sane on the lockdown bench. Hugs to all.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11
