Good morning all. It's still pretty dark and damp outside, nothing to entice me out of bed just yet. There's another yellow weather warning for tomorrow, more rain and wind. I'll have to go out today so I can hibernate tomorrow. No plans, no ideas though I'm sure that inspiration will dribble onto me soon.Happy Monday to all.13

Morning
What is it about 4am?! I don't need the loo or feel thirsty or anything, I just wake up and can't get back to sleep ggrrrr. bella do you still need help with your conservatory? I can be there at 4.10am tomorrow, lol. Not much to do atm so I've written lists, there are quite a few – a Needs list, a Wants list, a To Do list, a What To Plant Next Year list.........
I'll be paper shuffling today, there's not much work at the moment so I've saved it up to have a couple of proper work hours rather than doing a few minutes at a time. When everything's in order, I'll leave it in a neat pile then choose another day to put the info onto spreadsheets. I don't want to do too much at once, I wouldn't want to burn out or anything, lol.
I'll refine those lists a bit and plod through them, just doing things as and when I feel like it, or when I get really bored, lol.

Morning everyone
I'm up and looking presentable early this morning as I'm having a new washbasin fitted in the bathroom. I dropped a bottle of cough medicine in mine - it made a hole and lots of cracks!
I start work at quarter of 12 so I hope they're here early. I really don't like having workmen in the house - don't know why, I always feel uncomfortable.
I have some online courses to do for work so I'll get on with those.
Looks cold, damp and windy outside. Hope everyone has a good day12 -
Good morning and thank you for starting the thread Gers.
We have had a very soggy weekend here, what was once a lawn is now a squelchy swamp. I've done very boring things indoors like cleaning windows, nothing of much interest at all. I finished knitting a bear, now halfway through a baby jumper.
Today I have to participate in training via TEAMS. So I must get showered and dressed, right now I'm wearing very dilapidated pjs and an ancient cardigan with a hole in one sleeve and it is meant to be sort of fluffy but most of the flluffiness has been worn off. Some participants put on full makeup but i have forgotten where mine is and it has probably gone off now. Once I've had a shower I will feed the washing machine with towels.
I've fed the birds but mostly they are hiding from 3 squirrels, one on the feeder and 2 chasing round and round. Nearly all the leaves are down now so if I have the energy later - and if it doesn't rain - I might do the final leaf raking effort. If it rains, more knitting.
I hope everyone has a good day and also that you have a more interesting day than I'm likely to have.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back13 -
Morning all, up at daft o'clock again and the headache is back, think it's may be tension, but at least there was a beautiful red sky, which doesn't bode well for the weather today.Nearly all the leaves from the hazel trees are now in the garden and I'd cleared most of them away but as everything is soaking wet they'll have to stay there for now. We had loads of different birds down yesterday, blue and great t.i.t.s, blackbirds, collared doves one doing the "dance of lurve", but to no avail as she wasn't having any of his nonsense, the usual robin and a bullfinch. Between them they have emptied the feeder, so I must re-fill it today. It's bin day tomorrow and I have a lot of packaging to crush ready to go into the recycling. While am waiting for a parcel delivery I will do some web wandering, sort out a food shopping list ( I'll get Dad's tomorrow) and then this afternoon get on with the card making, I now have 3 done. My chef will make a chicken curry for tea, need to keep him occupied too
He is also making a mess HMS Victory model, but it's going slowly and I shouldn't be surprised about that as he's only had it untouched in a cupboard for about 25 years
It's now taking over one end of the lounge, so I shall de-camp out of the way and make my own mess crafting
Right I'm of for a croissant and more tea. I hope everyone can have a good day. Hugs to anyone who is in need and healing vibes to the poorly ones.Take care all, stay safe and well.nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently14 -
Good morning, windy here, but fine-ish.I was awake at ridiculous o' clock, I'm another one whose eyes spring open at 3am. I eventually fell asleep again, hence the late start. Not a lot happening here, I'm just about to go to Morries for a small chicken, and a lettuce if they have a decent one. i also need curtain tape from another shop, won't take long though.Hope everyone has a good Monday, take care folks13

Morning all.
Occasional random posting from me as I'm sitting here with a bit of spare time. DH is still abed and I've taken him up his usual cup of tea. In the meantime I've done one load of washing and last night's laundry is in the tumble dryer. Have some ironing to do later but I have a Zoom music session at 10am so have to be dressed and decent for that! We each chose a couple of tunes to lead and the others mute themselves and play along - nobody hears your wrong notes that way!
DH will be making shepherd's pie for dinner but needs to pop up to the greengrocer's for some mushrooms first and maybe pick up a paper. I'll also try to make some banana fairy cakes as I've found a recipe to use up a somewhat soft and squishy banana. We like banana bread but only when it's freshly made and I tried freezing some bananas recently and they were ghastly when defrosted.
Have a good Monday everyone13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Damp and miserable here too but no rain forecast till this evening - but sometimes the weatherman tells lies! Although yesterday it was a good lie as we had sunshine for a good few hours. Nowhere to go in it but it was nice to see through the window!
Two years ago I invested in a weighted blanket and I wasn't too impressed with it. I kept waking up too warm and didn't feel much benefit from it. On Friday I decided to fish it out and gave it another try. This time I left the summer weight duvet on over the top and that has solved my overheating problem. But what's more important is that it has helped my silly o'clock waking. I am still waking at 4.00 for the loo but now I can get back off to sleep instead of tossing and turning and clockwatching. It's early days yet but I have my fingers crossed this continues! (A word of warning to anyone thinking of getting one - they are VERY heavy to manhandle!)
So another day of same old same old here. Nowhere to go, nobody to see. Even the walls are sick of me wittering on at them. The wm is chugging away but the pegging out days are long gone and it will festoon the back bedroom. An e mail tells me I have a Royal Mail delivery this morning but it will be a surprise what it is. I am left to guess! I have 3 things due so pot luck which ts is.
So that's the extent of my excitement today. Anything else will be a bonus. Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) where needed. Take care, stay safe and sane on the lockdown bench x

Morning all
Dry here atm and meant to stay dry for the next couple of days but the sky is looking very dark so Im not holding my breath.
I have got my pyjamas and dressing gown in the wash I never wear them I normally wear a t-shirt and knickers but bought them to take to hospital last time with a dressing gown so they need a freshen up and once dried I shall put them in the hospital bag and start putting things in as I think of them.
DD's money came through this morning for the house so she is looking for the highest interest bank account to put it in, although the bottom has fallen out of any interest atm.
Dinner tonight is the left over roast from yesterday, I need to have a quick tidy round this morning and dd and I will walk the hounds.
Have good days all and take care xx12
