"Have Yourself a Frugal Little Christmas"?
Apologies if I'm posting in the wrong board, but I am an OS wannabe and I also follow Jack Monroe and the Mortgage Free in 3 blog online. I'm trying to write my list for all the Christmas main meals to reduce the pop out shops which always cost you a fortune in the end. I've made a list and a meal planner, but is there…

Getting kids to like pizza
Yep, I must have the strangest kids in the world, but they reckon they hate pizza. Would like sometimes just to be able to whack a dinner in the oven and have a nice simple meal. Any tips on how I can get them to try it? Maybe making my own and getting them involved? If so, any easy recipes for pizza?

Turkey and gammon - how long after cooking can you refrigerate them for?
Can anyone help please. I've tried to google answers but there seems to be a huge range on how long you can safely refrigerate these cooked meats I have guests coming between Xmas and New Year and do not want to give them food poisoning. (Well not all of them :D )

What to donate to foodbank at Christmas
Had a rather odd experience today at foodbank, I won a tin of Quality Street and as don't need it thought would drop it into the local foodbank as a nice treat for a family, but was very surprised and not a little dissed off to be told that donations like this are not encouraged as 1. they don't get many and not fair to…

Anyone made whoopie pie?
I've been working at home today - a rare quiet treat when I can get lots done. As it's nearly Christmas I lit one of my Yankee Candle votives: it was (still is just now) WHOOPIE PIE. Anyway, it smells divine (sort of toffee chocolately buttery smell) but I had no idea what a WP is. After a bit of surfing around there are…

Making invitations help.
Can anyone help please? I'm having an afternoon tea party next week for my neighbours and wanted to print out some informal invitations. I've been on Google for ages (1.1/2hrs) with no luck. Mostly I've found USA sites, signed up to a couple of 'Free' ones only to find they want money once I'm in. Anyone have any ideas? I…

Mulled spice instant coffee
I was treated to a jar of mulled spice instant coffee the other day (we bought 2 other flavours for Christmas presents and got a 3rd one free, it's also not a flavour I would have picked) now not sure if because I don't take sugar in my coffee it tastes so awful but I can't drink any more of it. No one else would drink it…
