Green Liver.
I was looking in the freezer tonight and moved stuff about to find what I wanted. I then found a pack - sealed - Lambs Liver - all green over the surface! It was definitely okay when it went into the freezer and nothing else is affected. I have had freezers since 1975 and never had this happen. :(

Rosspa
Hi all! I saw this website mentioned on the forums somewhere and thought I'd give it a go, I don't know if anyone else on here knows about it/uses it as it's never mentioned, maybe it's just been a well kept secret? ;) Well, I was a bit dubious about it as have only ever had food delivered from the supermarets, but it…

Any ideas for a dodgey oven?
As I may have mentioned elsewhere my oldest DD21, is in Colombia doing 6 mos volunteer work teaching ballet in an orphanage. Chatting with her the other night she told me she really misses baking, she's very good at it - I taught her what I knew at about 12/13 and by the time she was 16 she'd overtaken my abilities.…

Old style telly and radio
Over the last few years I've been finding it harder to locate telly and radio that is relevant to the way we live now. So much 'entertainment' seems artificial and pointless. (We gave up live telly and the TV licence when our TV died in 2010 and only watch online after the broadcast now.) I wondered whether it was worth…

We buy six packs of breadsticks from costco for a fraction of what they cost in the supermarkets, DS loves them as snacks, however each 6 pack includes 2 packs of garlic ones which DS does not like. Usually I scoff them but end up dipping them in butter as they are pretty ick and only nice with butter on!!! Which isnt…

What to do with my potatoes?
I think I need to start eating more potatoes as I always end up with some left over in the bag that begin sprouting. Don't get me wrong, I still use these and peel away the spouting areas. However, I have 3/4 of a bag left over after today's dinner and they are all beginning to spout so won't last much longer. Can these be…

Anyone recommend a hand blender?
My trusty old Moulinex hand/stick blender is about 15 years old and I bought it with Tiger Tokens! It came with an attachment for two mixer blades (like a hand mixer). Yesterday this attachement died :( . The stick blender bit still works. I have been looking for a replacement and nearly driving myself mad! Most new stick…
