Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.

There are 3 levels per day with Level 1 being very basic, level 2 in the middle, up to 3 which is more advanced and time consuming. Feel free to mix and match to suit your own personal circumstances.

Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up

These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.

Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.

A few of the basics before we start the week

Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!

Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.

Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.

Fling Boogie
- stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.

Swish and swipe/S&S
means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis

HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

LW - I've put a HHP just so you can make sure you've got everything for CAMRA in a nice little box or carrier bag so you can just hand it over and say BYEE! Even though I know you're doing your own lists I thought you'd like that one.

I'm in. Apart from one submission I have FINISHED all my tax returns. Taking a week off work and will be flying with a vengeance. Thanks for the HHP - I have a huge pile of filing that has turned into one very large frog.

Im in this week (prodigal daughter delurks...again.)
DH is going back to work tomorrow after 3 weeks paternity leave and now its time to get it sorted.

Some of you will remember me-the last time I posted was in 2010 when I was pregnant with DS2.After waiting so long for him we decided to have my tubes tied.It didnt happen when I delivered him and we discovered last year we were pg again.

DD was born via c-section 2 weeks early on the 5th of January-so after almost 2 years of pregnancy and recovery,I expect it'll take a few weeks to get back to proper flying,Also need to get going on some decluttering as we'll be moving house in June.

    So my list for now:

    Monday - Bathroom & Study

    Level One
    HHP -

    Hi everyone,

Well after only two weeks of following the designated lists I have decided to branch out and do my own from here on in (please don't hate me......:o)

In the past I have been list-obsessive, but working three jobs and having the house, dog, DH and 3 children to look after last year, meant that I had to restrict the housework to little and not often, so things got really behind.

Anyway, I have simplified my life in that I now have one, seasonal (Summer) job which doesn't start again until Easter, so I'm going to use my time at home to get the house shipshape.

Monday – Kitchen & Dining Room
    Sweep, mop floors
    S&S worktops and table
    Dust curtain rail and pictures
    WM x 2
    TD x 2
    Extras
Go to Post Office to send Ebay items
    Food shopping

    Back tomorrow for an update!

Me too. Really excited to see the new thread. Shamefully I missed my list this weekend. Managed to complete all challenges on last weeks list and boy can you tell the difference in my house. Unbelievable really after just one week. My DD said I'd only last a week so gotta prove her wrong at least:-) I read somebody say that they'd followed properly for a year don't want to tempt fate but I imagine you could be decluttered by then. I have a room of doom (mycraft room) which I want to tackle how can I possibly be creative if I can't see the desk. We've had our DGD1 this weekend and DGD2 is coming Tuesday so tomorrow need to try and get ahead of myself. Thanks to all you lovely ladies. Wish I'd know Diva she sounds a very special person. My challenge for this week as an extra is to go around the house making a toots list and a frog list. Hope you lovely ladies will keep me on track. Thank you again for your inspiration.

Again any "lurkers" jump in who knew that cleaning and sorting could be fun.
