Breadsticks into Breadcrumbs??

We buy six packs of breadsticks from costco for a fraction of what they cost in the supermarkets, DS loves them as snacks, however each 6 pack includes 2 packs of garlic ones which DS does not like. Usually I scoff them but end up dipping them in butter as they are pretty ick and only nice with butter on!!! Which isnt overly good for me so I was thinking maybe I could wizz them up and put them in the cardboard breadcrumb container I have in the cupboard - would this work do you think? Would they stay okay and not go mouldy??

  • I have never done this, but I don't see why not, as you can use Cream Crackers/Matzos to make crumbs for coating food or in place of breadcrumbs in Meatballs etc.
    Hope that makes sense!

no prob op - they will make a nice crispy coating. but when I make breadcrumbs I usually put them in resealable plastic bag and stash them in the freezer - you dont even need to ding them to defrost! just use as they are!
