kitchen bin solutions!
We are hoping to redo the kitchen.. :j:j:beer::beer::j:j I currently have very few base cabinets, and am hoping to add an extra corner unit and a tall larder type unit, which will hopefully free up space under sink for a concealed bin type thing. Now-we currently have a 3 section stainless steel bin a bit like this can…

Dealing with condensation?
I live in a 30's deco house with Crittal (metal) windows. In winter when I dry the washing indoors I get water running down the glass and making puddles on the windowsill even with the window slightly open. I t ends up making black mould form and setting off my asthma  I don't want to have the windows wide open for…

Condensation - Do I need to do something?
Sorry, I know this is probably gonna sound really thick. All my windows are dripping with condensation at the moment. Not sure I can remember it ever being this bad before. Is this anything I should be worried about and should I be doing something to stop it from happening? Thanks, Dave

Condensation
I live in a one bedroom flat that doesn't have a garden or outside space that is suitable for drying laundry etc. As a result I have to dry all my washing indoors - not so great for condensation. Due to the structure of the building I can have my kitchen and bedroom windows slightly open all the time (without fear of being…

edible flowers - how to?
I'm familiar with eating nasturtium flowers. However - in a veggie box here I have received: - calendula - borage - cornflowers I'm not quite sure on procedures here. I assume one: - picks the individual petals off calendula and discards the base and centre - picks the head part off borage and just uses in decorative…

Challenge: hand wash with NO bubbles
DS2 (4) objects loudly to bubbles, he has sensory processing problems so he's not just being fussy. We currently get him to use a liquid soap without water and then wash it off, it's not too awful a battle but if I can make it easier it would be one less stressy thing to deal with. Babywipes and sanitizer are ok for…

Wild mushrooms?
Hi all, Was wondering if anyone has tried foraging for wild mushrooms? I've been reading a bit about it and it sounds like the key is to be absolutely sure you know what you're eating - use more than one book and/or website to check. So I'm tempted to give it a go sometime, though I'm still a bit nervous!

Stains on my Cooking Tin
I just got one of those old style white with a blue rim enamel (I think?) cooking tins, and I've already managed to stain in. I roasted potatoes in it and it's left greasy yellow stains on the bottom. Is there any way to get rid of these, or have I ruined it?

Does sealed mozzerella go out of date and off or is it like hard cheese?
With hard cheeses I rarely look at dates on packets and to be honest most of our cheese comes loose from the farm shop so doesn't have dates on lol. Got some mozzerella balls still sealed in original packet in fridge (have been chilled since they came home last week). Now it doesn't have a use by date, just a best before…
