Cleaning a gazebo cover
Hi OSers. I (very stupidly) left a cream gazebo cover on the gazebo frame over the winter. As you can imagine, it's very grotty and green looking from the trees that overhang it. I will strip it off when the weather gets better and attempt to get it looking something like it should, I don't want to bin it if it can be…

Why do my flapjacks never set????
Hello all I have just made another batch of flapjacks and yet again they have crumbled into what appears to be a bowl full of muesli! This is the 3rd recipe I have tried but every time the same thing happens. Does anyone have any idea why? Or any failsafe recipes I can try? Thanks in advance. Jo x:beer:

Vegetable Stew To Save
I've made a vegetable stew and it's turned out really sweet. I thought the onion and leeks I put in would out flavour the parsnips and swede, but they haven't. Given that we're all veggie's what can I do to lose or disguise the sweet taste.

"Hedgehog" stew - any ideas?
Not real hedgehogs, I hasten to add!!! No, many, many years ago, when I was a little girl at primary school we used to have "Hedgehog" stew for school dinners. (Yep, real, homecooked school dinners too!) From memory, they were meatballs with rice in them - hence the "Hedgehog" as they were spiky! Try as I might, I just…

chipped crockery, possible to repair?
I don't like using chipped cups, bowls & plates but hate to throw them out. Is is possible to just file the chip down (if so, what with?) so it's not sharp & less visible? Would be interested if anyone does this. Many thanks.

Help! DD is constantly starving!!
At the moment my DD (just turned 8) is eating me out of house and home and is constantly starving! She's quite tall and extremely thin. (I'm very jealous!) As part of my MSE housewarming gift to my sister I have decided to write some of my favourite recipes in laymans terms as she has very rarely needed to cook at home and so doesn't always 'get' cookery terms, but when I have actually come to write them down I haven't got very many! I was hoping that you wonderful people…
