Vegetable Stew To Save

I've made a vegetable stew and it's turned out really sweet. I thought the onion and leeks I put in would out flavour the parsnips and swede, but they haven't.
Given that we're all veggie's what can I do to lose or disguise the sweet taste.

Splash of vinegar will probably do the trick.0

Have you got any more veg (non-sweet ones, obviously) which you could use to bulk it out so the sweetness is less intense? Lentils or beans would probably work too. You would end up with more stew than you need but you can always freeze some or have it for lunch tomorrow.
If not, you could try adding some spices and call it veg curry instead - personally I don't find sweetness in main courses so overpowering if it's spicy, but that might not be to your taste.
HTH.

Lentils would be lovely with the swede and parsnip but if you just want flavour what about marmite?

Similar to the vinegar suggestion, but I prefer to use lemon juice. Start with a bit, then keep tasting and adding. It doesn't end up tasting lemony, the piquancy just balances the flavours more!0

Some herbs and or garlic might help or turn it into a vegetable lasagne, curry or make a cheese sauceBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
