Saving Money on the Weekly Shop
Hi Everyone, Its funny really, I was watching on the news last night that the general public was 'unsure' if the price of food in supermarkets had increased or decreased? I think that we are all hoodwinked by the large supermarkets with these great special offers on basics ranges, has anyone cooked with a water injected…

Microwave: Straight vs Combination types
Our faithful 25 year old microwave has just died due to an unfortunate accident and rightly or wrongly, we've replaced it with a Combination version. Feta Cheese, never tried it....
Is feta cheese cheesy? Is it like a mild cheddar or like a goat's cheese (which I'd hate) I was out a while ago and saw advertised where we were eating a tart. It was butternut, cranbery and feta cheese, and I was too cowardly to have it in case I didn't like it and it would be such a waste...

I need tips for cooking mince, please!
I bought some beef mince on offer a while back and froze one of the packs. The one we ate (in bolognese sauce) was horrible - really fatty, with big lumps of rubbery fat in it. I'm really reluctant to use the other pack, so it's been lurking at the back of my freezer for ages. Any tips on how to make it turn out better? If…

I recall as a small child during the war, somebody from the Canada sent us a food parcel containing dried bananas.
