Lentils
I have just had my first experience of cooking with red lentils. Normally I use 500g of lean mince to make my Bolognaise and there is enough left over to freeze for another meal. This time I added 75g of red lentils. Somehow, this was a whole new experience and everybody enjoyed the meal better than usual. It was somehow…

Removing rust from Brabantia bread bin
Apologies if I'm in the wrong forum here as I rarely venture out my safe zone in the Pure Money and Techie Stuff forums. Basically, it's as the title says. My wife wiped the bread bin with a wet cloth a couple of days back but never dried it. Now there's a what can only be described as a thin layer of rust on top of the…

Grape Jelly help
It all started out so promisingly. I had some free grapes and flush with my jam making successes (albeit in the breadmaker) and seduced by someone's description of the rainbow coloured jellies that they make (as well as someone else saying jelly was easier to make than jam) I thought I would give grape jelly a go as the…

Reheating rice
Can anyone clarify for me as to whether it IS safe to reheat rice that has been in the fridge overnight? I have googled and found conflicting arguments, but if any of the regulars have done it on here and have lived to tell the tale, then that's OK with me :D
