Lentils

I have just had my first experience of cooking with red lentils. Normally I use 500g of lean mince to make my Bolognaise and there is enough left over to freeze for another meal.
This time I added 75g of red lentils. Somehow, this was a whole new experience and everybody enjoyed the meal better than usual. It was somehow smoother and creamier than usual but did not lose anything on the herbs and spices.
The big plus is that we have ended up with enough leftovers for 2 future meals and those are now in the freezer.
What a money saver. Next time I will add 100g of lentils and see how that works.
