White Towels?
I'm thinking of buying new towels... at the moment we have navy blue towels and green towels that are just starting to look a bit tatty. I like the idea of getting a load of new, matching ones, possibly white. Will I regret this? Do they look filthy the moment they've been used? What's the best colour towels for not…

Loose Veg in Supermarket
Hi folks - sorry if this is the wrong board - just wanted to sound folks out and see what they think. Whilst in the supermarket the other day I saw some loose leeks and thought I'd make some leek and potato soup for tea and freeze the rest. Anyway... The leaks were about 18 inches long and the tops were a bit scruffy, as I…

Any cake gurus out there, need advice regarding cream fillings
We have a cake club at work and it's my turn next week. I want to do something a little different to cupcakes and rice crispie cakes which have been the norm over the past few months! My ideas are Eclairs or a swiss roll. Both use cream don't they? I don't want to food poison anyone. Are both of these no-goers if I'm…

Buying a woodland for old style reasons
I have recently been thinking about buying a piece of woodland for old style reasons. I was wondering what other posters thoughts were and if anyone had done this? Fabric conditioner
I don't normally use it, mainly cos I don't want to add yet more chemicals to our environment, partly because of money and a dislike of strong smells, but I recently used a free sample of a new one and the clothes were much softer and really smelt lovely. So now I'm wondering--should I?
