I'm making a birthday cake for my daughter rather than buying one from the shop. Its sponge and i have made buttercream to go in the middle, but I was just abuot to put it on when I thought maybe it wouldn't last on a birthday cake? The cake is for friday, willl the buttercream go funny? Do I need to put the cake in the fridge? Don't want to ruin it after my money saving efforts to bake one!
