strong turkey soup help!
have just made some turkey soup with meat frozen from christmas and used the frozen turkey juices as stock but it tastes really strong tried adding more water to dilute the taste but still very strong any ideas what i could do to soften the flavour.thanks

Difference between sodium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate?
I have washing crystals from Dri-Pak which say they're sodium carbonate, but is this different to bicarb of soda? When would I use which for cleaning?

Pepping Up Packet Soup?
I know this is un-OS of me but I've got a stinking cold and cough so picked up a pack of veg soup locally for my lunch... the dried vegetable soup thats a broth, really. My question is, could it be pepped up with something spicy? (I usually get spicy thai soup when i've got a cold). If so what would you use and how much?

Bags that preserve food in fridge
Someone has recommended bags from Lakeland that you can put fruit or veg in and it keeps for ages in the fridge. Snag.....bags cost about £4 and then another nearly £4 for postage. Don't live anywhere near a Lakeland store so does anyone know if any of the supermarkets stock similar?

Anyone part of a food co-op?
How does it work? Is it just like a Costco (ie stuff that's supposed to be cheaper because its in bulk but often isn't once you do the maths)? Do you have to buy 100kg of washing powder? Any info/tips gratefully received.

Breadmaker Advice?
Hi there everyone. Since the price of bought bread is so ridiculous, I am thinking about making my own on a regular basis. What I was wondering is - is it cost effective to buy a breadmaking machine or to bake in the oven - or would it just end up costing as much as buying bread? Does anyone have any idea? :D

Calling those who make their own! What sort of flour do you use? Have read various recipes.. some bread flour, some with cornmeal.
