Pepping Up Packet Soup?

I know this is un-OS of me but I've got a stinking cold and cough so picked up a pack of veg soup locally for my lunch... the dried vegetable soup thats a broth, really.
My question is, could it be pepped up with something spicy? (I usually get spicy thai soup when i've got a cold). If so what would you use and how much?

Try a splash (or, in view of your condition, maybe even a glug?) of good old Worcestershire sauce. (As recommended by :money:himself!)
Paprika (ground dried sweet peppers) is apparently one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C, whilst cayenne pepper (ground dried chilli peppers) or Tabasco (chilli pepper sauce) would be a more direct counterattack on your germs. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
