Meals for freezing
Hi I am a newbie! I have some questions re freezing food that has been cooked so would be grateful for some answers. Hog roast
Im holding a BIG party - over 150 guests for a leaving 'do' for my DD who is going off to boarding school in September and as she is going to miss her birthday I decided that she could have a big party as a send off. Carbonara
I don't know if this is really money saving (although if I don't have to buy eggs I guess it is). I have decided to make carbonara for dinner and have started cooking everything up when I've realised my eggs are four days out of date. Would it be safe to use these out of date eggs or could I make it without?

Teaching my mum the oldstyle ways
Newbie poster so hope I'm doing this right! Just wanted to thank you all for the tips about bicarbonate of soda. I am Curious, Jam-making...
Why do most of you not use pectin?? I have always used pectin to make jams. It's faster, you use less electricity as you aren't simmering/boiling for so long, and the fruit keeps more nutrients. With pectin, you melt the sugar into the fruit, bring up to a boil + boil for 2 minutes, then take off the heat, add pectin and…
