Carbonara

Options
I don't know if this is really money saving (although if I don't have to buy eggs I guess it is). I have decided to make carbonara for dinner and have started cooking everything up when I've realised my eggs are four days out of date. Would it be safe to use these out of date eggs or could I make it without?

    Hi lynseydee,

I think carbonara needs the eggs in.

Have a look at this link (with pictures) which will give you a good guide on whether or not it's safe to eat the eggs: Fresh Egg Test

What recipe are you using? You're not making Carbonara unless you use eggs. If you want to make it authentic, no cream either and use Pecorino Romano cheese.
