OS DAILY WEDS 15th AUG

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 15th August 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Happy birthday to DonnyGal. Also happy birthday to Mr Proctalgia (though he doesn't pop in here too often these days).

Have a fab time in the New Forest Amie - hope the weather clears up for you.

Today in the land of SnowyOwl there is nothing interesting going on whatsoever!

    Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone.

    Morning all,

Amie, have a lovely time in the New Forest...it's about twenty years since I was last there.

Snowy it's great to see you here...I hope the new kitty (Mitzy?) is behaving!

Happy Birthday donny-gal and Mr Proctalgia, I hope it's a good one!
    :bdaycake::bdaycake:

Arrgghh, I can't sleep.....I didn't go to bed until after 1am and was awake again at 4.30. I am going to be so tired later today.

The advantage of being up early is the kitchen is now clean, and I've got a load just about to finish in the washing machine. The weather's looking promising with clear skys so maybe I'll get a chance to hang it outside this morning.

All three kids are at home today...dd has a day off from her summer job. Not sure that's a good thing though as she's a bit twitchy at the moment because her AS results are out tomorrow and she'll most probably take it out on her brothers. I think I'll try to get them all out of the house if the weather stays fine.

Off to pour another coffee and then think I'll make bacon and french toast for breakfast as the youngest has been asking me for it all week.

    Take care all,

    Pink

    Good morning,

Happy birthday to Donny-gal and Mr Proctalgia
Have a lovely break in the New Forest Amie.

Had a lovely nights sleep last night, strange dreams though involving Andrew Flintoff and a Thai prison!
35 weeks pregnant today :j the whole pregnancy seems to have been going on for about 5 years but we now seem to be hurtling to the finish line quite quickly, everything is organised pretty much but must pack my hospital bag soon.

Dishwasher on, need to do a tidy up, then tesco's, then promised my DD that we will bake, i'm going to do homemade hobnobs from Twinks receipe and some small cakes, must look for a new receipe though, my 2.5 yr old daughter told me my cake was dry a couple weeks ago :o
Hoping to buy some keeping occupied craft toys in Tesco's, my poor dd is getting a little bored of me not being able to get around too much and with no nursery to go too, she's not that happy.

breakfast: Toast unless dd decides that cereal is ok again (doubtful)
    Lunch: leftover veggie shepherds pie
Dinner: Not sure, maybe roast potato's, quorn escalops and pea's

Have a lovely day all, to all that need them.

Morning. I decided not to do the caravanning thing. It's wet and windy and quite honestly boring. We did go to Marazion for the day though on the train. Seemed the best way to avoid all the holidaymakers. Came back at 10, had a glass of wine and watched the Fugitive on TCM. Will probably go back down there today to a huge boot sale if it does not rain.
The caravan is parked near there for the summer, but to be honest I don't care for it much.... Anyone want a cheap rustic holiday let me know....

Found a copy of FHM2 on the train which gives you all sorts of tips about the internet. If you can get your hands on one, it's worth the hunt. Fab sites and programs that I have never heard of. Footy for free sites, etc....

Well I think I will take the dog for a walk... cheers all.

Pouring with rain here today, but the dog still has to be walked, so will get very wet

Alibob, it may happen sooner than you think, my first grandchild arrived on Friday, 2 weeks early. Not sure if it was the curry they had, or she was just impatient :D

Work today, so beef casserole in the slow cooker, I don't know how I would manange without it, it's so nice after working all day, to come home to the smell of dinner cooking

Hope everyone has a good day x

Thank you all so much for your kind wishes for DD - she was feeling a whole deal better last night. She even finished her tea (though it did take her nearly an hour ;) ) Hoping that sh'ell still be good this morning, and I can get on with feeding her up.

Sewing today - have waistcoats to finish.

Have a great day, and take a :grouphug:

Happy Birthday Donny-Gal & Mr Proctalgia

Horrible weather here again today. Not looking forward to the journey I have to make to my interview this evening. Trying to go through some possible questions they may ask me.

Don't think I'll be having dinner tonight, as I'm leaving for my interview at 4pm - it's at six, but I have to get through some awful roadworks, so allowing plenty of time! Won't be home till about 8pm, and I'll be going straight to bed.

Chicago was very good. Meant a late night, and I could hardly get out of bed this morning, but it was worth it!

    Hope everyone's ok

I know, its a very frightening thought, my first was 10 days early born by c-section due to being breech, she weighed 10.3 and a half pounds! This one will more than likely be section too, its estimated that it weighs 7 lb's already!

Congratulations on your lovely Grandaughter, does she have a name? (looking for inspiration!)

Scuttles off to start packing my hospital bag!

Many Happy Returns to Donny-gal & Mr P

Dull and overcast here today. Have got to go to town this morning for a meeting at the bank then its inside to do normal - housework, paperwork etc etc. No cooking today though as a new restaurant has opened and they are doing a special offer - probably the whole village will be there so will see if we can eat in - if not will be takeaway.

Dog is driving me mad this morning - he gets bored when its just me up and trys to sneak upstairs to wake DS up - I like having an hour or so on my own so have banished him (dog) to the kitchen.

    Have a great day.

    Good Luck Scuzz

    Morning All,

DH off to start 2 days of intensive HGV training this morning with the test on fri pm. It's pouring , so not a great start! The course was supposed to be all week but the gearbox went in the lorry so it has been shortened to 2 days!! It is costing £1000 so the pressure is really on.

going to make some veggie cornish pasties with DS later today and really must think about buying that bl***y uniform but putting it off as long as possible!!

Happy Bday to those celebrating and good luck with the interview Scuzz xxx fingers crossed xx

Hope you all have a nice day xxxxxx:j
