Sun trying to come out here so a day catching up with the washing and cleaning and shopping --- what an exciting life I lead.

Why is the fridge and the marmite jar always nearly empty when you know you have filled it up only a few days ago?

Good morning.

i am usually on here about 8 ish and say about what i'm doing in the day.

But i've had a really big shock this morning and i'm all over the place.

I've just foudn out i'm pregnant. OMG OMG OMG.

We been trying for a few months and kinda thought it wasn't gonna happen so agreed to start a job. boY i was a mess thsi morning. think hubby think's i'm a loon almost passed out on the phone talking to him as it such a shock.

i said i wouldn't tell anyone until had it all confirmed but i jsut needed to tell someone.

i'm excited , scared , worried all at the same time.

I slept in till 9am we are going into town today to sort out some back to school stuff for my DD. My Mum is taking us as I dont have a car till the weekend. I found out that I could have got some second hand uniform but it will cost me more in hiring a car and fuel to go and collect than to buy new so a false economy I think. My new job starts next Monday and I have to go away for 2 weeks for training so this week is a BIG sort out week.
If anybody knows how to cook a good hog roast please have a look at my thread 'hog roast' - I need tips on cooking it so that it turns out nice and NOT chewy :rotfl:

No real news here. Heavy downpours of rain kept me awake, and a little song stuck in my head... "Drip drip drop little April showers....."

Thanks for the Birthday wishes one and all :beer: I do actually read Old Style most days, its just sort of hard to find things to write about at the moment (Cos nothings happening:rolleyes:) So I will try harder in future.

Birthday celebrations are on hold till the W/E when the family are entertaining me to something! (But I think it may have more to do with my sons payday ) Knowing him it will involve food anyway.

Had a !!!! day yesterday, OH rang to say he was stressed at work and was thinking of quitting. Next call was telling me “I have quit” but “don’t worry”, this he says to the queen of worrying!:eek:
He had found another job and actually started it today, so at least we have a bit of money coming in.
I’m not really happy though because this new job is working for a friend who has just set up his own business, and OH will be paid cash in hand. No contract, no security.
We had a “discussion” last night and after me ranting like a loon for half an hour, I think it must have sunk in a bit, because he started looking at “proper jobs” on the internet last night. And left me a note this morning telling me he loves me.:p
I wouldn’t mind as much if I wasn’t off sick at the mo. My pay has dropped this last 2 months and up to now I haven’t heard from the benefit dept if I am entitled to anything. (knowing my luck I wont:rolleyes: )
oh well rant over ,hope everyone has a nice day,suns peeking out here,how long for is anyones guess!

Annie..... I officially suffer from lumpyboobitis. I no longer get too worried but you should get it checked none the less. Pain is a good sign as it usually indicates a cyst.

Well in the Haribo house today the start of the new term has again taken me completely by surprise. So there will be frantic rushing around making sure all is ready. I've been very busy since I got back, reorganising rooms and ironing like a crazy woman. it is all piled up on my new spare bed waitng for the arrival of a new chest of drawers today for the girls room.

Sausage hotpot is in my (new, massive) slow cooker and the BM is on. All washing up to date and the house is pretty clean so in between frantically trying to find last term's gym gear and lunch boxes, I hope to meet up with some friends in the park. Being away so much this summer I have hardly had time to catch up with friends.

DBigbrother is coming with his three kids on Saturday so I'm also trying to cook and freeze a bit for then. Bought 6 huge bags of brocoli yesterday for 10p each so last night made vats of brocoli and stilton soup, brocoli gratin, tuna and brocoli pasta bake. We Haribos love a bit of brocoli.;)

Nothing else to report. Will have a busy few days so may not be around much but take care everyone!!!

Morning all,
Hubby still home, still too much rain for him to work, I've sold another book on Amazon, so that's another £1.07 in the kitty, I got a £5 Amazon voucher this morning from Brainjuicer, it's only taken a year, lol.
Plans for today, not really sure apart from cleaning Thumper & Ogden out & no doubt getting wet at the same time. BM was on at 6 this morning & half the loaf has been eaten, WM also finished & washing is on the airer. Apart from that it will be making endless cups of tea for hubby.
