OS Friday 17th August 2007
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 17th August 2007. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please…

Wean me from my ready meals please!
Right, as the title suggests, my idea of cooking is to go to M&S and buy the food for the week. However, I'm starting to realise that whilst it's easy, it's not particularly healthy, and there's a limit to how many varieties of chicken in sauce or salmon dishes you can eat in one week! So, I'd like to try and make supper…

Freezing cooked soya mince?
MS = using soya mince + OS = batch cooking. But can I freeze bolognese/lasagne etc if it's made with (dried) soya mince? And if so, can it be cooked from frozen or would it need to be defrosted? Thank you, O'Knowledgable OSers :T Curv x

cook book help
Any suggestions? I'm looking for 1 or maybe 2 new cookbooks but I don't know which ones are best. I'd like one with cheap but healthy meals for a family and I'd also like one for the slow cooker. I'm not a great cook so something easy to follow would probably be best! I'm wondering if anyone could recommend a cookery book…

Johnsons Klear
Have any of you used this???? I found a bottle in the cupboard of the new studio apartment my friend took over last week, I think it has been used on the floor which seems a bit sticky, the label on the back is not very distinct, so I cannot see what we can do to remove it, and start again, it does make the floor look…
