I have never had them before and a recipe search doesnt bring up much either (assuming I am doing it right). Any suggestions would be very…

Pasta With Sausages - 70p a portion and really tasty!
We've got an Italian fella lodging with us at the moment who made this this great dish for us the other day which I tried for myself tonight. I had to share it with the board because its so simple anyone could make it. Its very cheap - I recon it cost me less than 70p per portion and I used expensive ingredients. And best…

Bread in the dishwasher?
Is this a first? Living out in the sticks I always keep the odd bread mix in the cupboard in case of a proloned period of bad weather.. As I'd got one that was nearly out of date I decided to make it today, but have nowhere warm enough to leave it to rise. As my dishwasher had fairly recently finished a programme, I…

Keeping the fridge dry
For some reason, our fridge seems to get very damp, which means that the icebox bit frosts over very quickly. It's a fairly new fridge (well, four years old now), so I'm not sure what's going on. Is there some sort of handy device or bicarb or something I can put in the fridge to soak up the excess liquid?

Can anyone share any recipes or ideas for 1-2 people. I am a novice and have never…

Bread maker questions...
Hi... I have been thinking of investing in a bread maker as they seem very popular on the OS board, and I love the idea of leaving it on over night and coming down to fresh bread in the morning. Couple of question tho.... How much do I need to spend on one? Are there any that people can recommend - I am looking at value…

Any other uses for carpet shampoo?
I'm clearing out my kitchen cupboards, and amongst other things I've found a nearly full bottle of Vax carpet shampoo. No idea where it's from, as we've never had a Vax, or other shampooer  We now don't have fitted carpets - we've sanded and varnished all the floors, and the rugs are taken away to be cleaned. Any…

Hi All, Sometime ago, (may have been a week, may have been a month!) I read a post where someone wrote exactly what cleaning she used (i.e. made up using vinegar, olive oil etc) and put them in spray bottles labelled "window cleaner" etc. However hard I try I cannot find this post! Can anyone point me in the right…
