Any other uses for carpet shampoo?

I'm clearing out my kitchen cupboards, and amongst other things I've found a nearly full bottle of Vax carpet shampoo. No idea where it's from, as we've never had a Vax, or other shampooer We now don't have fitted carpets - we've sanded and varnished all the floors, and the rugs are taken away to be cleaned.

Any suggestions as to what the shampoo can be used for, or shall I just chuck it down the sink, and give that a good clean :rolleyes:

Depends what's in it PenPen but I too have the varnished solid wood floors and just hire a rug doctor for the rugs and stair carpet. I have loads left over from the last time and have been using it to clean the wooden floors. The ingredients didn't seem dissimilar from the usual soapy water I clean them with and so far so good.

I also inherited some of this from heaven-knows-where.

I just diluted it and put it in a bucket and used it to clean the kitchen floor.. Its just soap after all, done the job it needed to

i HAVE USED IT DILUTED TO REMOVE STAINS FROM CLOTHES AND FURNISHINGS! TEST A SMALL PATCH, MAYBE MAKE IT UP WITH WATER AND PUT INTO A SPRAY BOTTLE TO USE FOR THIS
