Jam and Chutney - What pan do I use.
I have masses of marrow grown on purpose for making jam and chutney. The problem is that all the telly progs show the chefs using apparently stainless steel preserving pans. Do I need to use stainless or can I use my big pan that is enamelled (or similar). Everyone tells me that I shouldn't use Aluminium. Please advise.…

What's more economical?
I have a double oven, the main oven is a fan oven, and the top is a combi oven/grill. Now I was thinking (mainly cos I was cleaning the main oven so used the top oven to cook some chops) which was more economical electricity wise, the big oven which like I said is a fan oven, so heats quicker, or the smaller oven? Does…

Making bedding stay put
I know this sounds a bit silly - but how does everyone else in the world manage to ensure their bed sheets stay put? We use fitted ones and since we got our new mattress, which isn't massively deep, both the sheet and our new mattress cover seem to end up halfway across the bed in the morning. I'm wondering about some sort…

Spicy Salmon & Coriander mash
I'm not absolutely certain how moneysaving it is as salmon is not the cheapest thing but it is certainly easy to make and has the bulk deal of providing another meal for another day if you do the fishcakes as well so I thought I'd mention it anyway. I got the idea out of a Sainsburys magazine once and I'm hooked on it. The…

Tesco Clubcard Points
Not sure if this is the right place to post this and can't find any other thread about it. Tesco are starting to give clubcard points if you reuse your bags. Apparently it depends on the size of the bag so you will get more points for bigger bags. This goes live on 14 August:T

Does anyone manage the monthly challenge shopping organic?
If so, then how much do you spend because we seem to be struggling to get it to under 150.00 inc. petrol weekly! We were spending 300 pounds a week some weeks but have managed to get it down, but can't figure out how some people manage on 150 for the month! We are two adults (me pg) and 2 small children, oh and 2 cats.…
