Apple pectin recipe needed please?

Hi everyone
I have some apples left over that are a bit past there best and wondered if it would be possible to make them into apple pectin for when I make my blackberry jam later on this month?
Is it just a case of boiling them in a bit of water and then freezing?

Hmm it looks like my apples arent much good as they are past their best. Still may give them a go and boil them for longer to get a more concentrated pectin0 -

Yes I think I will, I was going to throw them anyway!
I'm also going to start collecting the blackberries and freezing them until I have enough... another tip I learned from MSE!0
