HI,
Last year I spotted a small wild rasberry bush but it was coming to the end of its fruit production, anyway I cant remember what month I saw it. Bearing in mind the hot weather when do they usually produce fruit? I have a feeling it was around August, does that sound about right?
TIA

my garden rasps are past now but not sure about the wild ones, they certainly have a lovely flavour0

Raspberries have a variety of fruiting times, right through till late October, so it could be now, it could be later, it could have gone already!!!
Sorry I couldn't be more specific, but even wild raspberries will vary between varieties.I believe that I have the strength to make my dreams come true:T September Challenge £5 per day - £0/£150 :T0 -

Ours fruited mid-June until now (just coming to the end). The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.0

Ok well thx for the replies, I'll take a walk tomorow and hope that they are still there.0

My summer ones have finished, and my autumn ones are just fruiting nicely. This year they have both been earlier than usual due to unusually hot weather.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

Your autumn ones are fruiting already? Ours are just putting out leaves. Admittedly it's their first year so I doubt I'll get any actual raspberries from them. The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. Ours fruited in their first year. We were given them by a friend who felt they were taking over her garden, so she dug them out and gave them to us. Then she started to regret it - but she needn't have worried as 'replacement' canes sprang up everywhere she thought they had been eradicated
. Since then, we have given canes away most years, and they have all fruited really well.
