Nasty "off" wine uses please!!!!

Options
Searched but cannot find!!!!!!!
Seen somewhere on here some uses for some sour "off" wine. It is white wine that tastes absolutely foul but I don't want to waste it.

Can I turn it into white wine vinegar or use it to make something else????:D

Thanks in advance guys!!!!!!!

  • If it was corked, take it back to the shop. My sister in Italy leaves wine with a sick of spaghetti in (not sure why!) to turn into vinegar. I think the spaghetti is meant to dissolve in the acid and then it's ready.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
:D Will try the plastic bag trick and if that doesn't work then will get out my spaghetti!!!!!! If you are making vinegar do you need to keep it in the fridge or doesn't it matter??

Unfortunately I cannot take it back (easily) as we went Mystery Shopping for a meal out with a spending budget of £30 and when we couldn't eat as they were booked up, we spent the money on bottles of wine!!! I think we were pushing it to get away with that really so don't want to make things even more complicated by trying to take it back!!!

    Thankyou everyone!!!:D

  • I don't think you need to refridgerate the wine to make vinegar. Good mystery shop though! I never get any like that!

Whoops, sorry new to this pressed the thanks button instead by accident!
I freeze wine left overs and use in recipies like sauces, casseroles, spag bol etc! Saves opening a bottle just for this reason, freezes fine in plastic bags or ice cube trays.
