Mushrooms would be nice with it, and maybe some dumplings if you had the stuff to make them. You might as well cook it overnight - you'll be more inclined to use it tomorrow then. If you've got any puff pastry lying around you could make a lovely pie once it's cooked, otherwise just use it as a stew.0

Hi ageandjo,
I would cook it overnight so that you'll definitely use it tomorrow.
I'd toss the meat in some flour seasoned with black pepper and mustard powder. Then add some stock, onion, thyme, a bayleaf if you have one and if you're feeling decadent a splash of red wine.
Like tawnyowls suggested, it would be lovely in a pie, served with something like baby potatoes and brocolli. If you would prefer it to be more of a casserole you could add some vegetables like carrots and parsnips to the slow cooker.

I have two large cans of guiness could I use these somehow??0

Yes - it's great with guinness - and even better if you have lee and perrins as well - the guinness can make it a bit bitter - I normally add a tspn or so of sugar.you may need to reduce/ thicken the gravy after the meat has cooked. Oh and a bay leaf0

cross posted - i'll second that pink!0
