I hope someone can put me right. I have just got a leg of lamb in my crock pot now. I don't usually cook a lot of lamb but it was on a really good special. When I unwrapped it and had a peice attached on the bottom. Could have been a leg:confused: but it had a bit of meat in it. I cut it off and wrapped it in clingwrap and…

Flapjacks, what went wrong??!!
I made a batch of flapjacks this evening and used about 1 1/2 oz extra syrup, just to use up the tin. Now the whole batch is to stodgy. Is there anything I can do to toughen/harden them up? If no-one has any ideas, it looks like birds will be well fed tomorrow :( LL

Hopefully quick question about slow cookers
What I know about slow cookers you could write on the back of a stamp (apart from they cook slowly). I searched the forums and some of you talk about putting it on to cook for the time you come home in the evening. This may be a daft question but do some of them have pre-programmed timers to start and finish at a certain…

Idea re. washing new clothes
If you are worried about new denims etc. bleeding dye in the wash, so you wash them separately for the first few times, try popping a bit of old white rag in with them on the first wash. Then if it comes out still white, you'll know the garment doesn't bleed, and it is okay to wash it with a mixed load in future.
