can i still eat it?

i made some soup on friday with some sorry looking carrots and sweet potatoes. will it still be ok to eat today? its been in the fridge.

    I would sniff and see, but yes I should think it would be fine.

  • Yes sniff it, onions usually go first and they smell sour. I've had soup in the fridge a couple of days and it's always been ok.
  • no onions in it just the potato carrot and leeks.

    It should be fine. Just do a smell and taste test to be sure but there's really no reason at all why it shouldn't be OK.

    In fact many things taste BETTER a day or two old. You might be surprised :)

  • Leeks are much like onions, if it still smells like soup then it will be ok.

    Don't forget to make sure you heat it thoroughly. Piping hot throughout. If you've got a cooking thermometer it should be over 72C.
