Car problems!
I brought a car (Skoda Octavia 2008) from a mechanics/trader 6 weeks ago for £1500. The engine has seized up and the car is no longer working. The mechanic was unable to fix it as he was too busy so he gave me £300 back and told me it would cost about £150 for a second hand engine and about £150 to fit. I accepted this…

I have been looking at a cheaper renewal on my car insurance. I can save about £50 but when I look at the details, the medical cover on these other policies is a lot less eg £5000 vs £30000. Is it worth taking the risk or should I stick with the higher quote? If I had a big medical situation I would be covered by my…

Hi, I recently purchased an Approved Used BMW from the main dealer. It comes with their 1 year main dealer warranty, which I understand is a proper warranty as opposed to a third party warranty offered from independent dealers. I am wondering what the approximate servicing costs will look on this car once the warranty…

Citroen/Vauxhall dropping the non-electric MPVs from Jan 2022.
I noticed today that Citroen has dropped the ICE variants of the Berlingo and the Spacetourer, and Vauxhall as dropped the ICE variants of the equavalents (Combo life and Vivaro life), so both offerings are now only available in electric, with a corresponding price drop in the EVs (sadly still out of my price range). I'm…

Fitted them in 2017, I live in London so loads of start stop drving, what's more I have used the car for multidrop delivery and have does so for 13K miles. My car will not go into the 6th gear after clutch change
I’ve just had a new clutch, flywheels fitted on my 4 x 4. However, the 6th gear is no longer working after the clutch change. I raised this with the garage but, they said it’s nothing to do with the clutch change they did. They’re saying it’s the gear itself that has a problem, all the gears were working before the clutch…

Caught out by red light camera - around 10 seconds after it went red
Hi everyone, This morning at around 7am on my way to work, I was stopped at a red light at an intersection. The lights in front of me (which I now understand where a different set of lights) turned green, at which point I proceeded to go. There is a red light camera at this intersection and I can't be sure that I saw a…
