I noticed today that Citroen has dropped the ICE variants of the Berlingo and the Spacetourer, and Vauxhall as dropped the ICE variants of the equavalents (Combo life and Vivaro life), so both offerings are now only available in electric, with a corresponding price drop in the EVs (sadly still out of my price range).

I'm guessing it's because demand for the EV's is so high they've decided to focus on them.

What do people think; is the big leap into EV only ranges a good idea or foolish?

It's inevitable at some point. Presumably Citroen have done their market research and decided it's better to so it sooner rather than later.

They obviously feel that now is the time to ride the wave of increasing EV popularity - get in early, get ahead of the curve etc. :)

Hopefully higher volumes will lead to lower prices as the competition increases in the EV sector.

Is the new range homologated for tow bars?  It would be a good pointer of thought going into EV usage if they are.

Last I checked: no. It was the main reason I was going to get an ICE Berlingo; so I can put a bike rack on it.
Weirdly, the van variant of the Vivaro was rated to tow 1000kg but not the MPV variant, so we know it's possible.

Maybe now they've trimmed the range down we'll get a tow rating.
