Car radio code

I have recently got an old 52 plate Vauxhall Corsa and the radio is in safe mode the old owner doesn't know the code and was hoping someone could help me here? The radio is a Vauxhall Corsa

CDR 2005 VDO

Serial number 

Gm020521510555 

If anyone knows how to get a code for free or can supply me a code that would be great thank you

You have two choices

1/ Go to Vauxhall dealer with Reg doc in your name and radio unit fitted in car and a £50 note and they will tell you what it is.
or
Try the motoring Vauxhall Forums if sombody has the Tech2 software they may be able to help 

2/ It will be on the unit somewhere - sometimes written on the label at the back but you have to take it out of the car. It is somtimes on the inside casing but you have to open up the unit. The numbers are often written in reverse so if you find it and it does not work try reversing. Caution it will lock out altogether after several attempts do not try more than 3

I do not know about an established thread on this forum. To be honest this is a question for the car forums - there is one for Vauxhalls cos I used to use it. You will get answers there that you could only dream of. I was told they have to put the code on during assembly in order to match the car up to the records. The last time I had to do it I took the radio out and the code was written reverse on the S/N label at the back
