Parking ticket - discount
A relative received a parking ticket for parking next to a lowered pavement and received a letter in the post. He said that there was no ticket on the windscreen, so the full £70 has to be paid. Can this be appealed? These discounts always seem unfair to me, £35 for paying promptly is over-kill.

Electric car for more debt vs ICE car with more outgoings
Hi all, I’m in a bit of a pickle at the minute. I'm earning around £27,000 and have a car on PCP which has become uneconomical both in terms of monthly payments and fuel because I'm now doing around 70 miles a day commute. So I'm looking at changing, but I'd have around £2000 negative equity. I've been considering getting…

Buying a New Car
I want to buy a 3 year old car for 28K. I have an 8K car to sell (part ex-value). I'm leaning towards remortgaging for 20K and paying back over 4 years (on a 5 year fixed at 1.9% overpayments allowed). I would plan to keep the car for 6-8 years. To me, this is the most logical solution. But are there any other decent…

Paying at the pumps
I've always paid for my fuel at the counter, now my local Tesco garage is slowing reducing the number of pumps where this service is offered. Can anyone please advise how I use my credit card at the pumps? I read somewhere that garages make a £99 charge on your card and this is a bit confusing. Any help or advice would be…
