Arval Lease Car Return

Good Evening
I just wanted some advice about a Nissan Quashqai leased through Arval, as the 3 year-term is coming to an end in August 19.
Excess mileage will not be an issue. However some mjnor scratches to paintwork, damaged and dinted alloys and some cosmetic scratches inside are a bit of a worry to me.
Just wondering potential ballpark figures from anybody who may have had similar damage and had their vehicles in for inspection and return recently.
Was womdering whether its worth taking vehicle to a private valet company who also carry out minor repairs first and have it assessed or do I take it to Arval in the first instance?

You should have a booklet about what is acceptable and what isn't - if not ask them for it. Generally its better to get any repairs done yourself (to a good standard)….0

They should adhere to the BVRLA Fair Wear and Tear guide, its a good idea to read this and go around your car to see what is acceptable and not.
Take photographs, both before and at the time of inspection, this is really important.
Cost wise can vary depending on the damage. Alloy Wheels is a difficult one as a small chip can cost the same as scratches all the way around the rim, this is because the process is the same. The fancier the alloys the more money it can be. Some require extensive work especially diamond cust wheels. Expect charges for each wheel of between £50 and £125 plus VAT
Scratches, depends on depth. Sometimes they may charge for a machine buff other times it may be a respray, sometimes this may require a blend.
If you do get the work done beforehand, I would strongly suggest getting it done at a reputable garage that can supply a warranty for the work. Leasing companies can charge for poor repairs, and this is common especially on alloys. Whilst they may look good to the eye, you can usually spot poor repairs.
My suggestion is to take photos, go around with the inspector, dispute any damage you don't agree with and fight your corner0 -
