Issues with my RX-8
Hi I recently purchased a RX8 PZ model with the 231 engine. Since purchasing replaced the suspension springs and shocks to the ones that were suppose to come with the car - ProDrive springs and Bilstein shocks which have made quite a different in the way the car rides. The car feels great and has a strong engine but I…

National Conciliation Service - arbitration
Hi, has anyone had experience of using the NCS arbitration? About a year ago I bought a new car and quickly discovered that the dealer had been “economical with the truth” about various extras, e.g. telling me I had to have parking sensors with park assist, when I could have got them (cheaper, of course) on their one, and…

Garage left SORN vehicle on public road
So my car has been at the garage for over a month for repairs. It was a SORN vehicle with no tax and no MOT. I had to tow it to the garage as it wasn’t allowed on the road. I work full time so I couldn’t visit the garage. Instead I have been calling them regularly and haven’t got any response until yesterday. I called…

Why is a physical driving licence still necessary if police sees everything in their database?
They see MOT history and tax status of the car. Can't they see information about the registered driver's driving licence (its expiration date for instance) and whether it has been confiscated after some infraction in the past?

Id saved 700 quid up while having my lessons as I really cant afford a new car but driving an old one really doesn't bother me. Bought myself a lovely VW Polo, 03 plate, 76k on the clock which, for a 15 year old car isnt bad at all. Got it…

Question about Insurance
Hi. I'm considering selling my car and make do with walking/public transport etc. Now obviously I would cancel my car insurance, which would be one of the financial reasons for getting rid of the car. But what happens if in the future I wanted to hire a car for a week? Would I take out a week's temp cover? And can anyone…

Has anyone claimed from an Inchcape warranty?
Just in the process of buying a 6 year old Honda CRV from an Inchcape dealer. They offer a two year warranty for £700 but I'm weighing up whether it's worth the money. I've read the reliability reports on these cars and can afford to dip my hand in my pocket if something goes wrong but wondered if anyone had experience of…

Audi VW Finance
We recently purchased a car and were offered finance, which if we took it out we would have an extra sum towards the deposit. WE had enough cash to buy the car but took advantage of the extra deal. The dealer asked that we did not exercise our 14 day cancellation rights so they could recoup some of their costs. We…
