University student advice ref vehicle registration and insurance

Our daughter is moving to uni and will be leaving her car at home in her first year to use during the holidays. We are aware that the address on her driving license will need to be updated to her university address, but not clear whether the vehicle registration document also needs to be changed to her university address. Insurers have been advised of the change.
Please can anyone advise? Thanks

We didn't do that when our son went to university. The car is staying at the address it is insured at. Nor did the driving licence need to be changed, term time addresses are temporary.

As long as your daughter can be contacted via the address on her licence and registration document, there is no requirement to change them.

I never changed my addresses at uni either though I suppose as terms are usually 10 weeks then a student's more permenant address is technically uni and temporary address home. If she is not driving it at uni, why bother changing addresses though?

deffo haven't changed address on driving licence / bank account etc etc

Opinion pieces are not a great place to get the news.

1: the driving licence is ANY address where the holder can be contacted
2: insurance; there’s no change, the vehicle is kept at the same address
3: V5 ditto to licence; it just shows where the vehicle is most likely to be, and in reality is not that important.
