Has anyone claimed from an Inchcape warranty?

Just in the process of buying a 6 year old Honda CRV from an Inchcape dealer. They offer a two year warranty for £700 but I'm weighing up whether it's worth the money.
I've read the reliability reports on these cars and can afford to dip my hand in my pocket if something goes wrong but wondered if anyone had experience of a claim or whether they are the usual sort of outfit that tries to wriggle rather than pay?
I'm thinking of cover for the cat/ECU/4WD/electronics. Or I can do my usual thing of self insure if there is any whiff of their policy being hard to claim against.

£700 pays for quite a lot of repairs.
Generally third party warranties are poor value and have a long list excluding most things that are likely to go wrong!0 -

That is true and I am capable of all my own maintenance provided a lift or special tools are not required (eg all servicing, brakes etc). I wasn't sure whether the warranty was value enough for the things that might cost a lot but again, my choice of vehicle was based on it's reliability so I may well self insure.Signature on holiday for two weeks0 -
If the car is a Honda Approved one, Honda offer their own warranties.
