Failed Fiat Panda Motor

Just a simple question...

What is the best way to involve Fiat with the resolution of a 'failed' gearbox on 37000 mile engine?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

    What age of car and does it have a full Fiat service history?

    Have you spoken to Fiat at all?
  • It is a Fiat Panda 4x4 900cc, registered in March 2014 and has a full service history.

    I have not spoken to Fiat. I was trying to work out the best way to approach them w/o simply dismissing the case.

    it may have FSH but has it had all the items checked changed as per MFRS service schedule?
    Some items are at extra cost eg belts, spark plugs, fluids, wipers to name a few.
    I know my gearbox oil requires changing at 40K that is not part of the regular service price.

    I would suggest that you go via your local dealer and ask for them to approach Fiat for a contribution towards the repairs.

    You have a stronger position if the car has been looked after by a main dealer.

    Is the full service history entirely done by Fiat dealers? This will affect any chance of a goodwill contribution.
