I'm probably looking to spend 4-5K and I'm hoping to get something under 5 years old with no more than 30,000 miles (don't know how reasonable this…

Winter/all season tyres
Well the time has come for me to get new tyres - it won't pass the forthcoming MOT with the ones on it so I've been reading up on switching to at least 'all season' tyres, but starting to lean towards decent winter tyres that will take a British summer without too much of a hit. I realise I'll probably have to order them…

How to negotiate on used car price?
I'm ashamed to say that I'm fairly hopeless when it comes to haggling and would really appreciate your help. I've found a secondhand car that I like (VW Polo BlueMotion 2, 08 reg, 18k miles, £9987), but am at a bit of a loss to know how to approach the negotiations. I've got an old, knackered Vauxhall to part-exchange, for…

Being consistently overcharged at Station
Good morning. I wonder if there's anything I can do about this situation. We infrequently travel to London from Burgess Hill and have noticed a trend. Namely, that we have looked at National Rail Enquiries and priced tickets which are consistently 3 to 4 pounds cheaper than those available at the station. For example,…

Car left in street
A neighbour moved in the week but has left a car behind, now parked on the road (was always on their drive). It is not taxed and I know it has no insurance, if they don't collect it soon who should be told? council, police or DVLA? Don't know where they have gone to.
