We need to think about a new car as ours has barely scapped its mot. We have an old discovery with many many miles on the clock. We were thinking of another old disco as we know what to look for, where to get parts etc but just a normal estate would be probably be better if we could avoid a dog
It needs to be an estate for camping gear.
diesel
under £3000 (nearer £2500)
As it will be a bit elderly at this price second hand parts will need to be easily available. It also needs to be a solid car that will have a bit of life left in it .
Oh husband doesnt want anything 'boring'!
Love to here you suggestions
Thanks in advance!

So what would your husband class as boring?
Given the fact you have an old Disco.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
A Volvo? I don't really think 'old diesel estate' and 'not boring' really go together tbh. Or a Mercedes W124 series? Although those are getting seriously old now, but very well put together.0

He He. Yes exactly. He's got a thing about "silver sheds". He's really no help at all.0

Ford Focus estate [rare but avialable]
Nissan Primera estateHappiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -
Lets just forget the 'not boring' bit
I've seen some vw golf estates around that price on auto trader, what about one of them0 -
If your going for an estate you really need to be going for something the size of a V70.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

V70's massive! lots of votes for volvos tho. A few v40's on auto trader in our price range. They seem quite cheap for year and mileage so whats the catch?0 -
The V70 isn't that big inside, so be very carefull with a V40 if your kids are taller than 4 foot.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
