Quite simple where you stand, your partner owes Barclays the balance remaining on the vehicle.

So she would have read the agreement before signing it?.

Options may refer more to the type of deal rather than finance type i.e after the loan finishes she has the option to pay the balance, return the car, or trade it in.

This is what I would take an options finance deal to be.

Whether it was personal loan or HP wouldnt make a difference here. PL's are often used where the applicant doesnt qualify for HP however she still would have had to read and sign for a PL.
  • we agreed on a option take it back 3yrs or chop in against another or balloon payment after salesman went off he then came back took partner too another room and was told to sign for car so she did i know what your saying but when you ask for somthing and your told youve got it she signed sorry one finger typing

Expensive lesson! read what you are signing, how ever long it takes, whatever the pressure being exerted, after all you have to live with the consequences not them

'Act in haste, repent at leisure' as the expression goes
  • Lots of comapies are doing persoanal loans rather than HP as with personal loans its harder to hand the car back/VT and the finance company beong out of pocket.

I think the OP is at fault for not reading the agreement.

However, answers like yours should not be allowed, you are nothing more than a keyboard warrior.

Nice to see someone agreeing, the use of the words is pathetic.
